Springerspanielit ry:n erikoisnäyttely pidettiin jälleen Karkun Ellivuoressa.
Talkooporukkaa kohtasi lohduton näky kun saavuimme näyttelypaikalle. Näyttelyalueelta oli kyllä ruoho leikattu, mutta koska? Ei muuta kun ruohonleikkurin pukille ja ajamaan. Tunnelma oli kuin F1 kisoissa konsanaan. Milloin kenenkin mäklaareni piiputti ja nähtiinpä regasrikkokin radalla. Heinätöistä selvittyämme saimme kuin saimmekin näyttelyn pystytettyä siihen kuntoon että näytteille asettajien kelpasi saapua paikalle.
Näyttelyaamu valkeni tihkusateisena mutta ennen kehien alkua sää selkeni ja muuttui aurikoiseksi, joskin melko tuuliseksi. Tällainen ilma oli kuitenkin koirille hyvä, sillä vaikka päivä venyi pitkäksi niin koirat jaksoivat kuitenkin esiintyä edukseen. Koiria oli ilmoittautunut huikeat 193, joista englanninspringerspanieleita 84 ja walesinspringerspanieleita 109. Liekö suomessa koskaan aikaisemmin nähty waleseja tuollaista määrää samassa näyttelyssä? Molemmissa roduissa oli useita kasvattaja- ja jälkeläisluokkia.
Englanninspringerspanielit arvosteli Mr Ronald Billows (Robil) ja walesit Mrs Jan Rees (Typica) molemmat tuomarit ovat Englannista.

2 year old liver & white, nice dark eye, leasing expression, skull & foreface in correct proportion has a good reach of neck, deep chest, short coupled body, cowered the ground well, went slightly close behind. I would put this down to the ground of the ring & also to him showing so much affection to his handler.
