Kuvat Katri Alavalkama

Tämänvuotinen Karkun erikoisnäyttely käytiiin viileähkössä mutta onneksi sentään poutaisessa säässä. Näyttelypaikkaa kohti ajellessa vesisadetta riitti pitkin matkaa, onneksi Ellivuoren lähestyessä sateet kun ihmeen kaupalla lakkasivat, ja koko pitkä päivä saatiin viedyksi läpi ilman sadepisaraakaan. Koiria oli tänä vuonna ilmoittautunut yhteensä 161 kpl, joista 89 englanninspringerspanielia ja 72 walesinspringerspanielia.
Englanninspringerspanielit arvosteli Mrs Sally Leslie (Kennel Risdene) ja walesinspringerspanielit Mrs Christine McDonald (Kennel Northey).
Näyttelyn kauneimmaksi tuomari Christine McDonald valitsi englanninspringerspanielinartun FIN & EST MVA, JV-02, V-02,-04, BALTV-03,-04 Adamant’s Dreams Are Free om. Veera Hovila. Engl.springereiden VSP oli KANS & FIN & EST MVA, ESTV-00, V-00, -04 Adamant’s Golden Boy,om. Saila Sundell ja Tiina Mattila, tämä koirahan oli viime vuonna Karkun näyttelyn Best In Show.

Walesinspringereiden ROP oli valioluokassa kilpaillut 9v. uros FIN & S MVA, V-98 Standard-Bearer Nevada, om. Suvianna Virkkunen, walesien VSP oli FIN MVA Wesper Long Beach, om. Virpi ja Pethi Lakso.

BIS-pennuksi tuomari Sally Leslie valitsi englanninspringerspanielinartun Adamant’s Royal Romance, om Riitta ja Olavi Nurmiranta. BIS veteraaniksi tuomari Christine McDonald valitsi englanninspringerspanielinartun FIN & EST MVA Adamant’s Ellen Beathix, om. Marja Stigell.

Näyttelyn parhaaksi kasvattajaryhmäksi Mrs Leslie valitsi Kennel Adamant’s englanninspringerspanielit, Mrs McDonald valitseman parhaan jälkeläisryhmän esitti wss uros KANS & FIN & S(u) & N MVA, ITV-00, SV-02, V-03 Benton Everybody Duck.
Näyttelyn parhaaksi juniorhandleriksi ja samalla Springerspanielit ry:n juniorhandler-mestaruuden voittajaksi tuomari Tiina Eksthöm valitsi englanninspringerspanielia esittäneen luokassa 14-17v. kilpailleen Tiina Lielahden. Toiseksi sijoittui luokan 10-13 vuotiaat voittanut Stina Einola.
Legendaarisessa pukukilpailussa oli tänä vuonna valitettavasti vain 2 rohkeaa osallistujaa, 4:n muun kisaan ilmoittautuneen lähdettyä jo kotimatkalle. Tämä oli harmillista, kun ainakin toinen tuomareista kertoi odottaneensa kovasti juuri tätä kilpailua. Kilpailun tämänvuotiseksi voittajaksi molemmat tuomarit valitsivat karjakko Tiina Lielahden ja muhkea utareisen lehmänsä ess Lotan jotka siis saivat vuodeksi haltuunsa kiertopalkinnon, Herra Liituraita-patsaan. Toiseksi sijoittui peikkopari Meeri Vinnamo ja wss Nelli.

Likeable puppydog, built on the right lines. A little loose at present as one would expect at this age. Satisfactory headpiece. Neck ok. Legs & feet satisfactory. Good in body. Excellent rib. Rear assembly ok. When not overstheched, moved in puppyish way.

Reasonable puppy dog. Moved ok for age, but dawn in good condition. Body proportions good. Head needs to develop a little further. Neck & shoulder statisfactory. Front assembly ok. Well bodied for age. Good angulation behind.
Watermark Matchless 1 KP PN2
Feminine & built on typical lines. Rather puppyish as one would expect, but although on little soft to handle. Comes to hand well. Head patern ok for age. Legs & feet reasonable. Would prefer slighlty better neck lines into shoulder, but reasonable back line. Tail carriage a fraction low. Moved nicely albeit babyish.

Ultra feminine of lovely type. Gorgeous head & expresion. Good head carriage on shapely neck. Pleasing angulation. Lovely topline, when not overstreched. Excells in body rib. Moved with more enthusiasm than accuracy.
