Tänä vuonna saimme nauttia Karkun päänäyttelyssä Suomen suvesta kauneimmillaan. Ilma oli aurinkoinen olematta kuitenkaan liian kuuma. Tämä oli jo kymmenes vuosi kun springerit kokoontuivat Karkkuun. Jatkossa on kyllä syytä puhua Sastamalasta, sillä siellähän Hotelli Ellivuori nykyään sijaitsee, vaikkei minnekkään ole muuttanutkaan. Niin ne ajat muuttuvat, vaikka me emme olekaan muuttaneet. Perinteisesti koiria on ilmoitettu paljon, joten näyttelytoimikunta teki päätöksen että täksi vuodeksi paikalle kutsutaan kolme tuomaria. Englanninspringerspanielit arvosteli Mrs Diane Conrad ja walesinspringerspanielit Mrs Janice Janes. Molempien rotujen pennut ja veteraanit, sekä enkku juniorit ja walesi juniori nartut arvosteli Mr Colin Woodward. Koiria oli tänä vuonna ilmoittautunut yhteensä 157 kpl, joista 88 englanninspringerspanielia ja 69 walesinspringerspanielia.
Näyttelyn kauneimmaksi tuomari Janice Janes valitsi valioluokassa kilpailleen walesinspringerspanielinartun Benton Pep Talk om. Maria Konttinen ja Marjo Jaakkola. Tämän kauniin nartun pentuesisar Benton Pearl at Wesper on voittanut Best In Shown tässä samaisessa näyttelyssä vuonna 2006. Kyseessä on siis varsin voitokkaat sisarukset. Walesinspringereiden VSP oli niin ikään valioluokassa kilpaillut uros Benton Ugly Duckling, om. Katja ja Olli Alho.
Englanninspringereiden ROP oli valioluokassa kilpaillut narttu Adamant’s Let Me See, om. Tarja Hovila. Sophia voitti myös parhaat liikkeet-kilpailun. Enkkujen VSP oli viime vuoden BIS voittaja Linmoor Your Majesty, om. Sanna ja Sami Kavén & Saija Kaleva.
BIS-pennuksi tuomari Colin Woodward valitsi englanninspringerspanieliuroksen Lo’cust Born To Rock, om Jaana Perko. BIS veteraania ei tänä vuonna valittu, koska yksikään näyttelyssä esitetyistä veteraaneista ei saanut erinomaista.
Näyttelyn parhaaksi kasvattajaryhmäksi Mrs Diane Conrad valitsi Kennel Adamant’s englanninspringerspanielit, Mrs Janice Janesin valitseman parhaan jälkeläisryhmän esitti BIS voittaja narttu Benton Pep Talk.
Näyttelyn ”ei niin virallisessa” osuudessa valittiin BIS pariksi englanninspringerit Walnut Wow Wow ja Walnut Amazing Angel. BIS metsästyskoepalkitun voitti walesinspringeri uros Romeo, om. Elina Jalni ja Jyrki Lemola.
Näyttelyn parhaaksi juniorhandleriksi ja samalla Springerspanielit ry:n juniorhandler-mestaruuden voittajaksi tuomari Mr Colin Woodward valitsi englanninspringerspanielia esittäneen luokassa 14-17v. kilpailleen Saara Pohjolan.
Ratkiriemukkaan pukukilpailun voitti pienet mehiläiset ja kukkanen, Mehiläiset jotka surisivat ja pörisivät pitkin nurmea, niin kuin vain pienet enkkupennut osaavat.
